May we meet you
My name is Joanne Nneka Anyansi but everyone calls me Nikki. I was born and raised in Aba, Abia State Nigeria. I studied French in Imo State University Nigeria but today I am a content creator, style blogger and a model. Apparently, we always go for what we love.
Describe your personal style.
I would describe my personal style as androgynous, Afrocentric and comfortable.
Do you have any fashion rules when putting an outfit together?
As I always say there are no rules in fashion. When putting my outfits together, I always go for looks that give me comfort and confidence, be it boyfriend jeans, a leather jacket and flat sandals. I love to do me!
What’s your next fashion must have?
My next fashion must have will be a lots of heels.
You are also a model. Do you think models are duly recognized?
Models in Nigeria are not duly recognized. The fact that so many agencies, designers and more will rather use an international model than a local model to promote their brands is disappointing. The models/agents need to step up their game, if not there will be no growth in years to come.
What’s the last thing you googled?
LOL. The last thing I googled was shoes. I need to step up my footwear game this year as I promised myself to wear more heels.
What do you love doing in your spare time?
In my spare time I love watching movies, creating looks for my friends and cooking.
Who is your fashion inspiration locally and internationally?
My fashion inspiration will definitely be Nomalanga Shozi and Lisa Folawiyo.
What do you look forward to this year?
I look forward to starting up my company and inspiring more people with my weird style.
Kicks or Heels?
I would say Kicks.
As I always say there are no rules in fashion. Cheap Fjallraven Kanken Kids When putting my outfits together, I always go for looks that give me comfort and confidence, be it boyfriend jeans, a leather jacket and flat sandals.
