Celebrating New Years’ Eve in bikini was unbelievable for me as a German girl. Since I was little, I always wanted to have a hot New Years’ Eve where I can watch the fireworks without feeling cold. This year, my dream came true as I got the chance to stay over the last days of the year in the Dutch Carribean Island, Curacao.

Curacao is known for its beaches tucked into coves and its expansive coral reefs rich in marine life. For somebody who has only swam in the Mediterranean, the Caribbean with its white beaches and clear blue waters is like a magical place. Just when our plane landed and I saw the beautiful Island after a 9 hour flight, my heart beat raced faster.

On our first day, we just relaxed on the beach with our toes in the sand and some cocktails in hand. Caribbean Sangria is insane!

Visiting Willemstad was one of my best moments. When you walk through the streets, you can taste the sea breeze while looking at colorful houses, which reminds you of Amsterdam.

Let’s come to the most important thing: The Food! What can I say? Just enjoy it. The Creoles aren’t just friendly, they cook very well. They are sooo amazing! Spending here more than a week would be horrible for my bikini body. Lol

My New Year advice: Visit Curaçao if you haven’t already. You’ll love it! And when you do, I’d love to hear your story and see all the lovely pictures.
